Berlin

I spent a week over New Year in Berlin in 2014. I had never been before and was very excited to visit having studied it’s storied history both at school and through books at home. I had learned about how the city changed from the First World War through to the effect of Communism and how the city was divided through the post war years up until the dissolution of the USSR. I don’t know many other places that really capture the history of the 20th century so explicitly.
